Position Summary
Pegatron Technologies LLC is seeking a highly hands-on Manufacturing Engineer (System Integration) to support New Product Introduction (NPI), automated equipment integration, and server system manufacturing at our Austin facility. This role is intentionally execution-focused and floor‑driven, particularly during early production phases.
The engineer will play a critical role in building manufacturing capability from the ground up — designing production lines, installing equipment, commissioning automated systems, and working directly alongside technicians to launch production. Once operations stabilize, the role will expand into optimization, system design, automation improvement, and strategic engineering initiatives.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in fast‑paced or startup-style manufacturing environments, enjoys solving technical challenges hands-on, and wants direct ownership of how complex systems are built and scaled.

Key Responsibilities:
NPI & Production Launch
- Lead NPI project development including feasibility analysis, process flow design, capacity planning, PFMEA, DFX, fixtures, automation, and line layout
- Design, set up, and launch manufacturing lines with direct involvement in equipment installation and line bring-up
- Support early builds on the production floor alongside operators and technicians
- Define NPI processes, track execution, and ensure smooth product ramp
- Perform mechanical and system integration validation including BOM verification and build validation
- Integrate complete server systems to ensure mechanical, electrical, and system-level compliance
- Validate and implement ECN/ECR hardware and firmware changes
- Develop SOPs, standardized work, and technical documentation
- Train production personnel on processes and equipment
- Lead mechanical, electrical, and controls integration for automated production and test equipment
- Commission new machines and tune performance for throughput, cycle time, and reliability
- Collaborate with automation vendors and suppliers to ensure equipment meets manufacturing and product requirements
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and drive corrective actions
- Lead root cause analysis for production, system integration, and equipment issues
- Partner cross-functionally with Production, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to improve yield, reduce defects, and stabilize output
- Define and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, consistency, and cost effectiveness
- Document specifications, improvements, and system performance metrics
- Research and implement new manufacturing technologies including advanced system integration, automation solutions, AI server manufacturing, and liquid cooling systems
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- Experience in manufacturing engineering, system integration engineering, or automation engineering
- Hands-on experience supporting line setup, commissioning, or NPI launches
- Familiarity with automated assembly, test equipment, or FATP manufacturing environments
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced or evolving production environments
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Experience with server, electronics, or complex system manufacturing
- Exposure to liquid cooling or advanced thermal solutions
- Experience working in an ODM or high-volume manufacturing environment
- Prior experience supporting factory ramp-ups or greenfield line launches
- Experience supporting make-to-order or configurable manufacturing systems
